In honour of International Women's Day on Sunday 8th March, we're holding a fundraising event to raise awareness and funds to help prevent violence against girls and women, specifically those affected by FGM
The event will kick off with a screening of the Desert Flower film at 2pm followed by a brief talk about the Desert Flower Foundation at 4pm and then a showcase of Burlesque Dancers, Pole Dancers, Circus Performers, Fire Dancers, Musicians, Artists and Poets untill 7pm when the performances will be rounded off with a fire-lit procession leading to The Level Park just round the corner for an extravagant fire show! There will then be an amazing after party full of dancy boogie-licous tunes courtessy of Kris Dee's BoomBox from 8pm onwards.
Some audience members may find some of the acts and subject matter of the day to be of a sensitive nature. Please note the main charity we are fundraising for is campaigning to put a stop to Female Genital Mutilation worldwide.
