Founded in 1995 the ITP Support Association is a non profit-making registered charity which provides information and support to patients with the rare autoimmune bleeding disorder immune thrombocytopenic purpura. Run primarily by volunteers with just one paid part-time worker it publishes a quarterly newsletter, provides numerous ITP publications, organises annual patient conventions, seminars for health professionals and funds research into the causes and best management of this frightening disease.
