On Sunday 30th November Laura and I will be donning Santa suits and taking part in the Leeds Christmas 10K! The run sets off from the John Charles Centre for Sport, winds up Scrooge Hill, through Middleton Park woodland and back for another lap! We have been training hard over the past few weeks and we are hoping to get a good time despite our choice of attire (please see cover photos for evidence of our outfits!) and we are hoping people will be encouraged to sponsor us in our effort to raise money for the Bury Hospice. Our fundraising is being done in memory of my lovely Aunty Judith who sadly passed away earlier this year. She worked as an English teacher in Bury and influenced the lives of many young people in a positive way. She was an intelligent, thoughtful and caring person and was a keen supporter of her local Hospice. Bury Hospice has been threatened with closure recently due to a lack of funding and I know that they will be really appreciative of any funds we are able to raise for them.
