Home-Start Oldham, Stockport and Tameside (HOST) supports families with children under five by recruiting and training volunteers to provide a wide range of support to local families. As well as the home visiting volunteers, HOST provides breastfeeding support in the community.

In the last year, 180 families received regular, ongoing support from volunteers, with a total of 425 children supported (260 children under the age of 5, 165 children age 5 and over).

In the last year, our breastfeeding peer support team of volunteers and staff supported 1189 mums on the ward, including NICU, antenatal and the childrens unit. New mums were also contacted by phone, received a home visit from a member of our team or attended one of our support groups.
