UPDATE No.1 - The support so far has been excellent and super useful: thinking on the generosity shown so far is a great little boost when I need to dig in on those long runs. It's paying off as well, with the last half-marathon in 96 minutes and 14 miles in 106 minutes.
I've got a wish to reach the halfway mark, 500 Pounds, before the end of March. Can you help me get there?
Since December, I've been getting out before work and training in whatever wintery weather London has thrown at me, instead of staying warm and asleep. I'm doing this so I can run the best marathon of my life, up in Edinburgh in May.
As well as the joy of the challenge, I want to raise money for the vital services provided by Broken Rainbow, the UK's national LGBT Domestic Violence charity. They do amazing, essential work and are often the first point of contact for people seeking to leave unsafe situations for a place of safety.
By Race Day, I'll have been training for 6 months and nothing would be better motivation than knowing that these efforts have led you to sponsor me in aid of Broken Rainbow - not even knowing I can have beer and a lie in again.
Anything you can give would be very appreciated, thanks y'all.
