Music festivals across the country have been cancelled this year – but that hasn’t stopped Highgate pupils and LAE T students from creating a virtual music festival to raise vital funds for the school’s charities. Pupils on the committee are keen to show their support for the wider community and donations will be split between: Shelter, the Harington Scheme, and Noah’s Ark Hospice and the Highgate and LAE Tottenham hardship funds
Donations made directly to this fundraiser will be received by Highgate and split between: hardship at Highgate, hardship at LAE T, Noah’s Ark, Harington and Shelter. If you would like to donate your support directly to a particular area, please click the individual links below.
All of these charities have been put under extra pressure by the pandemic, and are responding with vital work.
Shelter: the pandemic has intensified problems for people who are homeless or in poor housing. A £10 donation will answer an urgent call to Shelter’s emergency helpline. To donate directly to Shelter click here
The Harington Scheme: this local charity is well known to many at Highgate – it aims to provide young people who have learning difficulties or disabilities with life skills and vocational training that will enable them to participate more fully in living and working in the community. Your donation will help them to maintain their services for vulnerable people during the Covid crisis, including distance learning. To donate directly to the Harington Scheme click here
Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice: children with underlying illnesses are among the most vulnerable to the Covid crisis. Your donation would help Noah’s Ark support these children and their families. A donation of £5 could pay for a vital laser temperature probe for the special baby feed kitchen within a year. To donate directly to Noah's Ark click here
LAE Tottenham’s Hardship Fund: We know that children from disadvantaged backgrounds will be hardest hit by this crisis and will require long term support to narrow the gap with those from more economically stable families. We are supporting those members of the LAET community from the most deprived backgrounds on an ongoing basis through a hardship fund. To donate directly to to LAE Tottenham click here
Hardship at Highgate: The impact of the pandemic has seen some Highgate families fall into unexpected hardship. We want to ensure we are supporting them. To donate directly to Hardship at Highgate click here
