2016 will signal the end of my Northern lifestyle as I swap it to become a southerner as part of our planned relocation to Yeovil through the military. Following on from a successful "Swim The Tees" last year, I've got my Speedo's out again and am swimming my biggest challenge to date. By the end of the year I am aiming to have swum the equivalent of Dishforth, N. Yorkshire (where we are now) to Yeovil, Somerset which is a mighty 266 miles, with the help of just a 25m swimming pool and a patient boyfriend as the pool will become my new visiting ground.
All greatly received donations will go directly to BLESMA, a military charity. BLESMA is a deserving charity whose mission is to enable limbless veterans to lead independent and fulfilling lives. Their youngest member is aged just 19 with their oldest being 99, which truly goes to show that they are there for our veterans no matter what age they are.
Please take the time to visit their website www.blesma.org to learn more about them and the work that they do with our veterans.
