Hedgehog Bottom is a small charity hospital and rehabilitation centre for wild hedgehogs in West Berkshire. HMRC Charity No. XT27268.

We take in sick, injured and orphaned animals, fix them up and get them back to the wild where they belong. Our annual intake for 2012 was over 700 with a 93% success rate, and numbers are increasing all the time. No injured or sick animal is turned away, so the hospital operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and staffed only by dedicated volunteers the 'Hog's Bum' relies entirely on donations. We are now raising funds to buy land for new state of the art hospital.

Hedgehogs are Britain's National animal but numbers are rapidly decreasing due to the activity of man. We run an education programme locally to try to address some of the problems and misinformation still doing the rounds, and provide a lot of information for the general public, as well as new carers, on our web site at www.hedgehog-rescue.org.uk.
