Story

Haydock Male Voice Choir is one of the oldest choirs in North West England having been formed in 1923 in the former coal mining village of Haydock, known locally as _Yickerland_. Our Constitution declares that the _aim of Haydock MVC is to promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in the appreciation of the art and science of music and in particular choral music by the presentation of public concerts_. Despite the somewhat lofty words, we have a lot of fun pursuing our hobby.
