Story

The Horse Rangers Association is a uniformed youth movement, (like the scouts or guides) with horses.

We are on a mission to provide opportunities for young people in the Tendring/Colchester area regardless of background and ability; to develop character, learn responsibility, lead by example, care for others and the world we live in, working with horses, in a fun, safe and enjoyable environment.

We do this by providing opportunity to be around horses, work with horses and learn to care and ride them.

We are not a riding school. We use horses and ponies to help young peoples self development.

We also work with local RDA, looked after children and other local groups.

We are a voluntary organisation and non-profit making. Members pay a weekly subscription which covers the costs of keeping the horse for everything else we rely on fundraising and donations.

As little as 2.50 can buy a bag of carrots to treat the ponies, 5 can pay for a vet bandage, 10 can buy a new broom, 30 pays for a flu vaccination for 1 horse, 60 pays for a set of shoes for a pony.

Every donation makes a difference and supports our work.
