This June Alex, Mike, Sam, Ben and I thought we’d challenge ourselves to do something mad: walk the almost 100 mile coast-to-coast route along Hadrian’s Wall.
We’re doing so in memory of James (top left, short hair, glasses), our friend, inspiration and partner-in-crime who sadly died in a hiking accident in June 2013. Two years on, we’re going to honour what James loved in life (walking epic distances and dragging us along, jogging to keep up after him!) by completing the route he always wanted to walk. We’ll average 15 miles a day through some of England’s most beautiful and historic landscapes.
The money you donate will go towards an organisation that meant so much to James over the years: the 2nd Warwick Sea Scouts. This spring the Sea Scouts are fundraising to replace their rickety scout hut with a modern building that will serve them and the local community.
James was a dedicated friend to each of us for over a decade, someone we are all proud and thankful to have known.
Please join us in celebrating that by donating now. All money is hugely appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Richard K
