OK so the title may not be strictly true, I definitely do NOT love running. But I am making myself do it to raise money for a really good cause. I'm running the Royal Parks Half Marathon for the British Heart Foundation on Sunday 12 October 2014 and need all the support I can get.
Heart disease is the single biggest killer in the UK. It's not just stressed out, middle-aged businessmen who are affected. Heart defects and disease can affect unborn babies, children in the school playground - even super-fit Premier League footballers can suffer from it. So that's why it's really important we know more about it. Which is where BHF come in. 124 is enough to pay for a resuscitation manikin to train people in life-saving CPR. 200 is enough to fund a young research scientist for a whole day, helping to find a cure. But you don't need to give that much. Just 2 is enough to pay for 10 "Let's get active" kits, which are a great resource to encourage young children to be active for at least 60 minutes a day.
Anything you can give will help me as I drag myself around the 13.1 miles of London's Royal Parks. So please give generously, whatever you can.
