Why do we need donations?

1. To cover our running costs (we still have bills to pay) during lockdown and also in the future as we need to start moving away from cash transactions for Degh di Seva, building fund and if you really want to...the change we put in the golak. Your recurring donation will ensure the Gurdwara has a regular income and we can claim gift aid on your donation.

2. There are a number of building projects such as:

a) complete electrical rewiring of the old building including replacing all lights to LED's to save money - quotation received for £55k

c) replacement of the roof on the old building along with new insulation to keep the heat inside - quotation received for £75k

d) Creation of new Giani accommodation and Punjabi school classrooms - approximately £25k

e) installation of a central heating system in the old building to keep the Sangat warm during the winter. - no quotation obtained to date

There may be other building works required before we reopen following lockdown.
