Rasheed Runs The Hackney Half Marathon for Rising Tide On Sunday May 8th 2016 I will be running the Vitality Run Hackney Half Marathon to raise much-needed funds for local music charity Rising Tide. For the past 15yrs and counting Rising Tide has engaged thousands of young people in Hackney, one of London's most deprived areas. The charity gives young people the chance to access industry standard music workshops, facilities and professionals, putting them onto potential career paths into the music and related creative industries. As I was born in Hackney and so have a close affinity to the charity, so much so that I now proudly sit on the board of trustees of RT. Your kind donation will be put to very good use and help the charity: 1. Service or replace damage music equipment. 2. Pay for much needed small repairs to the buildings interior. 3. Subsidise more free access to RT’s facilities and equipment for young people. Please give whatever you can and lets together help give young people a facility they can continue to be proud of.
