Thinking it would assuage our growing unease, we then foolishly watched the video of last year's event, rapidly converting our feelings of apprehension into abject terror. A hilly, muddy half marathon complete with tear gas, 10,000 volt electric shocks, and fire. What had we got ourselves into????!!!
