Three lads have signed up to prove (on March 20th 2016) that despite age and fitness not being on their side, they can still cut it! The Royal British Legion Major Series (www.britmilfit.com/major-series) is set in Bramham Park, Leeds and consists of a 10-12km course littered with obstacles. This year we have set out to raise money for a local charity, York Rescue Boat (www.yorkrescueboat.com), that aims to provide a physical and proactive commitment to furthering the safety of the rivers in York. It aims to achieve this by means of a patrol and rescue boat, education and awareness. This is a charity set up and run largely by volunteers and is one that will undoubtedly reduce loss of life in an area that has suffered so much in recent years.
