The staff and board of Friends of the Award are planning to undertake a DofE Bronze Expedition in the Pentlands, on 7-8 February 2015! For some members of the team it has been a good number of years since they last carried a rucksack, and some have never done so, so this will be a real test of our combined fitness, knowledge and determination. Some of the team starting to plan the expedition Because it is winter we will be staying in a bunkhouse, but we will carry all the rest of our kit to make it as close as possible to a real expedition. Of course before we get out there we will have to complete route cards and plan our equipment and food. We will post updates on our website to share our experiences. We are looking for lots of sponsorship. All money raised will go towards our work supporting young people to achieve through the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
