Thanks for visiting my fundraising page! I'm rowing the distance of a marathon along the Thames - from Shadwell to Chiswick and back - to raise money for Shadwell Basin Outdoor Activity Centre. This fantastic Centre provides exciting opportunities for young people in one of London's most deprived Boroughs - including kayaking, sailing, mountain biking and climbing. They have loads of fun while developing a 'can do', adventurous attitude. Young people are encouraged to give things a go, problem solve and persevere as they make friends and challenge themselves. Unfortunately, with funding cuts, the Centre now needs additional financial support. I'm one of a group of parents, all inexperienced rowers, who are aiming to raise £3,000 to help maintain the Centre's life changing programmes.
