Having volunteered for Forest Pulse for many years I cannot oversell the great work it does for children with disabilities and their families. Managing disability can be challenging, knowing where to go for support is not always clear. Many of the young people Forest Pulse works with just want to be indpendent and recognised as the amazing person they are not hampered or identified by their disability. Parents of these young people just want to know how best to support their childen and give them the best possible opportunities in life and protection from the stigmas that remain in society. Forest Pulse provides safe and empowering after-school, weekend and holiday activities to allow young people the chance to be themselves and enjoy the same opportunities as their non-disabled counterparts. They also provide parents with the information and support they need to help their child grow, develop and reach their full potential. As a relatively small independent charity Forest Pulse relies on donations.
