One of four “100 challenges “in memory of Captain Tom is to walk 100 miles. 5 members of the A & A Doyle team will walk 100 miles finishing with a team walk on Sunday 2 May. The 100 challenge allows us to do it our way therefore we have chosen to walk in aid of our local Galashiels Town Band. This has been a difficult year for organisations and charities with so many public events having been cancelled. All these organisations still need cash to survive and be part of our community and their events going forward. Our band in particular supports young people (and the young at heart )with lessons and uniforms. Playing as a group, socially and mentally is great for all involved and we can’t wait to hear them out playing “live” as soon as they are allowed.
