Story

The Downpatrick & County Down Railway exists to allow visitors to experience traveling over a section of the original Belfast & County Down Railway restored as a working railway museum. Items of equipment and documents relating to the original BCDR are conserved to allow research into that railway_s effect on the area that it served. In making the collection available to the general public, the museum also aims to promote tourism and the economic regeneration of the district.
