A few years ago I lost my beloved Uncle John to cancer and on the 4th of April this year it cruelly took my much cherished Aunty Debbie. So in loving memory of both their charitable nature's, I want to raise money for MacMillan and Willen Hospice.
From these charities both relatives, families and friends were blessed to be provided with tremendous support, comfort and counselling during such a difficult time, and the help the were given to cope with coming to terms was so important. To see this aid being given made me realise the importance of how such charities put their funding to full use and really help the people you care about.
And so I thought one way to express my gratitude and help support these charities is by sacrificing my 12 year old dreadlocks and chopping them all off to help raise money and awareness.
Although a bit daunting, it brings me great pleasure to do this in the name of a good cause to help a charity that I know puts their funding into practise, and aids people in great suffering with the respect and humanity that everyone should have in their last moments.
