SHORT VERSION: I love running. BUT NOT THIS FAR (asthmatic 51 yr old!). So why not keep me going though my training and the day by helping me collect money for this really worthy frontline charity. LONGER VERSION: Lets talk running. I love running, I love running fast and you know, getting injured, being 51 and all. I have done several half marathons but, as a friend said: When I'm done I can barely run another step! And I had none planned cos, well, see the bit about getting injured! So, lets talk the London Marathon. What happen?. I got an email from my running club telling me I had won a place in a raffle. I checked it wasn't a carefully targeted scam. Then, I thought: I can't do this! Well, why not? You've got 3 months. And loads of folk really want to get a place. So here I am... Let's talk About Shadwell Outdoor Activity Centre. The place has been an inspiration to me since I first learnt to kayak. The Shadwell way, the kids, the joy and learning the place brings in a super deprived part of London. I've learnt so much in my interactions. Please help me raise money so this place can keep on inspiring and supporting outdoor activities and leadership in young people.

    24 km run this weekend and boy, can I feel it. Not sure where training goes from here but getting to 40+km is going to be tough!

    2 sets of Intervals down and a visit to the physio as the right leg was nae happy. Still a lot to learn, but I'm looking forward to the weekend's 19km long run

    I completed week one with a 18k run on Friday and my first attempt at intervals . My training week looks to have a rhythm of a Tempo run, Intervals, a loooong run and 2 pilates sessions. Hopefully still room for a bit of yoga

    It's week one in the three month training plan (plan!) I've done my first slow run, and cross trained with some pilates. Tomorrow is more pilates and Friday a big run. Sunday, should be sprints
