Over 70 years ago our Grandad successfully evaded capture by the Germans after being shot down in the skies over Belgium in a Lancaster bomber during WWII. He escaped thanks to a chain of organised and courageous people, known as the Comète line, who risked their lives to save his.
Now, to remember his story and honour those who helped him we plan to cycle over 1300 kilometres unsupported following his route from Brussels to Pamplona. We will do this unsupported (carrying all our own stuff) over 2 weeks, averaging around 70 miles a day. We depart on Saturday 2 April and aim to complete the ride in 2 weeks!
Our goal is to raise as much as possible for the
My Name is Kumar Foundation. This is a grassroots charity doing amazing things to improve the lives of children in a small community in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
