COLOMBIA WITHOUT BORDERS is a UK charity with the following charitable purpose: To improve the lives and future prospects of the socially-excluded children and families of the poverty-stricken district of Valle de Gaira, Santa Marta, Magdalena, Colombia. This is to be achieved by: Providing a high quality academic education in a disciplined but nurturing environment. Improving the children’s self esteem and confidence through relationships and contact with international volunteers. Developing the children’s social skills and confidence through competitive sport, primarily football. Arranging special events for the children to enjoy the beach and to visit other local amenities. Supporting the children’s families with education in nutrition, dealing with confrontation, defeating drug addiction and other programmes as required. Supporting the community in their quest for improved housing and amenities. Colombia sin Fronteras carries out this work on the ground in Valle de Gaira, and all funds we raise will be passed to them to achieve the stated aims.
