In 2015, the Customer Insight and Analytics team plan to collectively travel the distance between our base sites. This is a total distance of 707 Miles/1138km, which will be split the distance between all 22 participants as 32.14 miles/51.73km each. This mileage will be accomplished in a number or ways, some individually and some in team locations on joint tasks, e.g. riding an exercise bike in the office.
Distances completed will be validated in the form of colleague confirmation from photos colleagues on gym equipment, use of mobile activity tracker applications, etc.
The Wallich are really doing something about homelessness. They give vulnerable people the accommodation and support to live safer, happier and more independent lives and become part of their communities.
They help the most excluded and marginalised people in society, those with no home, experiencing extreme poverty and suffering poor mental and physical health. The Wallich successfully house many who are street homeless, help those with severe social problems and support many people in rebuilding their lives after experiencing homelessness.
They work with men, women, couples, young people, families and dogs.
Their projects are as diverse as the people they support and they offer much more than just shelter. They are not just about putting a roof over someone's head. The Wallich believe in making that journey back into communities sustainable.
Working in over 60 projects, across 17 Local Authorities and with over 4000 people every year their charity resources continue to be stretched and with funding cuts more prevalent in the current economic climate this means that they rely on public generosity and support from businesses now more than ever. They work with an ever growing, committed number of Welsh businesses from banks to law firms and to factories. This fundraising is vital to The Wallich.
