I am very fortunate to go to a school that provides and excellent education and I strongly believe that every child deserves an education, regardless of race or religion to give them opportunities not only to improve their lives but those of their families as well. That is why I would like to raise money for the Deep Griha Society in Pune, India for the Child Sponsorship Programme - Aadhar Kendra Having had the privilege to visit the Deep Griha Society in Pune in August this year and met the children I currently sponsor and witnessing the wonderful education they receive, I am even more passionate about making a difference and my aim is to sponsor a total 10 children for a year. As part of the programme the children are guaranteed one balanced, nutrition-rich meal a day, which I believe is a given right for every child to have good nutrition. They receive education materials, including books, stationary, school bags and uniforms, Clothing and shoes, Professional counselling services, Medical care: regular check-ups, and treatment when required, extra tuition to support school work, fees for any addition educational courses in which the child wishes to enrol, extra-curricular activities: group outings, including plays, picnics and educational trips. There is also family assistance for unexpected events (for example family illness, damage to the home). Recreational and fun events, such as a birthday party and games days, every child should have a Birthday party, celebrations on popular festivals and of course transportation to and from school.
