UPDATE: Unfortunately, circumstances have plotted against me doing the race on the 19th October, however I am planning on running an equivalent race in the near future to make up for this. Any questions, feel free to contact me, thanks for your understanding! :-)
---
As many of you will know, I am BAD at running. I have given up on running more times than I can count, but time I'm giving up my defeatism instead! 6 months ago I could only just run for 1 minute at a time, but now I am training to run the Eden Project Half Marathon in October to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).
My inspiration is a child who hasn't ever given up, despite being treated at GOSH for a condition most would find life-limiting. Children like this put my defeatist attitude to shame, but they and their parents would find it so much harder without the support they receive from specialist centres like GOSH.
GOSH is one of the world's leading children's hospitals and their ability to provide outstanding facilities and cutting-edge treatments is largely due to donations. They need 50 million a year to maintain these exceptional standards. Please help me make a dent in this requirement by sponsoring me!
Thank you.
