I'm running the London marathon (again!) to raise money for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. Despite being an iconic charity and the oldest dogs and cats home in the UK (154 years old!), it receives no central government funding and relies on the generosity and support of the public. Battersea never turns away a needy dog or cat, taking in around 9000 animals (across its three homes) every year. This costs an unbelievable 50,000 pounds a day. The home does a phenomenal job of caring for and rehoming lost, neglected and abused animals. It breaks my heart to learn of animal suffering, but unfortunately I can't rescue one of my own at the moment. Please help me to support this fantastic local charity in rescuing London and the South East's helpless animals (and to encourage me to battle the cold and hopefully get a new PB!).
