Historia

We are a non-competitive rowing club for older people, most of whom have never rowed before joining. The club evolved from a GP referral scheme which gave people with a variety of health problems access to regular exercise. From these small beginnings the club now has over 90 members mostly over 50 with the oldest currently 88. The club is run by its members for its members. We have a fleet of over 15 boats many bought through fundraising and restored by members. We aim to provide a social hub as well as exercise. We are now in need of a boathouse for the fleet and to provide a roof for that social hub.
