I was a carer, for a painfully brief time. Some years later I became a volunteer counsellor with the Counselling for Carers (C4C) service - and now I manage it. I am passionate about the work we do, offering carers throughout Devon an all too rare opportunity to think purely about their own needs, to talk freely about the stresses they face and to be supported to make changes that benefit themselves and those they care for. All of our 50+ counsellors are volunteers, but it still costs £30 for each hour of counselling we provide. Please sponsor me, however small the amount, so we can continue with our highly valued work.
