I joined St. Anne's Brownies at the age of 7 and, except for a small gap when I was Guide, am still there 30 years later. (Yes, I am feeling very old!) Girls do pay subscriptions, but this does not come close to covering the costs of running a unit. Fundraising has always been a large part of the Owl's role and as it is Brownies 100th Birthday we have stepped up our efforts. I hope this will inspire and encourage our girls. To some a 5K would seem very easy, but please consider just how old and unfit I am when attempting this. .... And Tawny Owl bullied me into it ;-) Thanks very much Ruth
