During this lockdown period, I have enjoyed getting out on my bike and the benefits it has rewarded me with. However, I want others to benefit from this too. My wife, Mary, is a volunteer for Options Pregnancy Resource Centre in Wimbledon. This charity supports people through unplanned pregnancies, bereavement after miscarriages, and difficult feelings after a pregnancy termination. They rely on donations and volunteers in order to provide free support to many individuals, couples and families.
My challenge is to cycle 350 miles (560km) during the month of August. Why don’t you join with me in donating a little or a lot and be a part of this adventure. The reason I’ve chosen August (with its heat wave and thunderstorms) is that it is the month of my 77th birthday, and the money raised will be a ‘birthday present’ to Options. So please come and join the team that gets an old man to complete this challenge.
