Over the last 10 months I have started cycling again, and although I've struggled to regain my fitness I am really enjoying getting out on my bike, on and off road in all weathers.
I've been asthmatic for the last 26 years, lost my father in 2005 to COPD/Chronic Bronchitis, several family members have Asthma or COPD. My late Husband also suffered with Sleep Apnoea, although not diagnosed, I believe the condition contributed to his early death in 2009.
On July 2015 I'm planning to do my 1st Sportive which is 60 mile from Manchester to Blackpool, and in doing so I'm hoping to raise some money for a small charity which is close to my heart.
Nara - The Breathing Charity, was founded in 1984 following a need for respiration monitors (apnoea alarms) by two families. The family has gone on to expand its' remit and help numerous people who suffer severe asthma and other respiratory conditions by providing them with necessary medical equipment, support, information and care
NARA is solely supported by public donations, fund raising and voluntary help.
So could I ask my dear family, friends and colleagues to help me support this worthwhile cause and sponsor me on my first sportive. It doesn't matter how small the donation, every single penny helps. Using givey.com every single penny of your donation and gift aid will go directly to the charity.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read.
