Befrienders Highland promote mental health and well being; reduce the incidence of loneliness and social isolation experienced by people with mental ill health across the Highland Council region; encourage greater understanding and awareness of mental ill health;aid the development and sustainability of 1-1 supported friendships between a person with mental ill health and a trained volunteer and provide a good quality accountable service with a focus on confidentiality.
