The aim of the B-17 Charitable Trust is to educate the public about the role of the Flying Fortress and its crews who flew from the UK during the Second World War. By preserving, operating and exhibiting Europe_s last remaining airworthy Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress aircraft known as Sally B. It is flying as a memorial to those 79,000 young airmen who gave their lives for the freedom we enjoy today. A hugely important part of our heritage and aviation history which must not be forgotten.
