In April I will be running the London Marathon in aid of The Lauren Page Trust.
It is a charity set up to raise money to further the work of Consultant Obstetric Physicians who deal with women who have serious health problems during pregnancy often resulting in premature births.
My mother had been diagnosed with diabetes from the age of seven. She has given birth to my sister, brother and I who are all healthy, however both my sister and brother were born prematurely but thanks to the Obstetric team there were no complications.
I will be running in aid of them to raise money for Laurens Charity. Lauren was sadly taken from us back in 1999 due to being born very prematurely and the Charity was set up on her behalf.
By running the marathon I hope to raise money to help many other mothers and their babies throughout the country and the donations will go to help train more specialist physicians, buy lifesaving equipment and fund potentially groundbreaking research.
Already hundreds of mothers and babies have benefited and thousands more could do so in the future.
Any donation big or small will go a huge way, Thank You.
