Independence, empowerment, dignity & fulfilment is the ethos of Acorn Village. Acorn Village is a registered charity for adults with learning disabilities founded in 1972. Our philosophy is people first, disability second. Horse-riding, sailing, swimming and college are some of the weekly external activities we offer. Art, craft, weaving, gardening, drama, media studies, choir practice, up-cycling and recycling are just some of our onsite activities giving our service users self-belief and a sense of real achievement.
Our motto since day one has been ‘Life is for Living’ and it is thanks to generous supporters, that we continue to live up to this. If you would like to find out a bit more about Acorn Village or how you can help visit the website www.acornvillages.com
