About the Artist is a small project set up by artists teaching at John Dewey Specialist College (Haringey) who want to enable their students with learning difficulties to share their art with the world, starting with our little corner of North London! Each piece of work has been produced or co-produced by an artist with severe or profound learning difficulties or complex physical disabilities. Working in different media, our students learn to express their inner selves through mixed media, photography, moving image and 3D works. Your donation will help us to buy additional equipment and materials to support our artists to create inspirational and original artworks including adaptive technologies for digital creation and to share these with their local community.
