Craig Gould is raising $500 for Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK
About
Hi everyone! During October and early November I will be partaking in 3 seperate events, all to raise money for Cancer Research UK. My good friend and band mate, Craig Francis, was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma earlier this year. He has now finished his chemotherapy treatment after a very tough 6 months. Frankie has been an inspiration to me with how he has battled through such a tough time. Well done mate! You have been so strong! No matter how tired and worn out Frankie was from the treatment he insisted on being at all of our gigs, and tinkled the ivories as magical as ever. He has been amazing. All signs look good now his chemotherapy has ended so our fingers are crossed for the future. Frankie's chemotherapy was done in cycles, which were 2 weeks apart. To mimic this, I have set my challenges 2 weeks apart: Tough Mudder, Saturday October 5th, which is a 10 mile assault course, and will see me running through fire, live electric wires that will zap me, and jumping into baths of ice, amongst other enjoyable obstacles. Oh, and lots of mud. Next will be the Birmingham Half Marathon, Sunday October 20th (In a Captain America Costume) and a finally a Cycle Ride (cycle, see what I did there?) from Tamworth Station to Worcester Foregate St on Saturday 2nd November (I will be wearing a Captain America Costume, again. It will be the same one actually) This ride will take me along the canal and follow my train journey to work. My team at Foregate St will be waiting to greet me with fireworks, dancing girls and hopefully a nice cup of coffee. This by no way comes even close to what my friend has been through, but I hope that it helps raise some money to fund the battle against cancer. The company who I work for, London Midland, have very kindly offered to match 50% of ALL donations that are made on my page! So for every 1 you sponsor me, London Midland will automatically put in 50p. This is such a wonderful gesture and I would like to thank London Midland for being so supportive towards this. Thank you for reading, and thank you for any donations! It is all very much appreciated!
