Music is a male-saturated business. Look at it dripping in XY chromosomes. When you're a young woman with a passion for music, you need to be exposed to role models you can identify with. You need to be encouraged to make music and express yourself in an uplifting environment, free from boundaries. You need the Young Women's Music Project, and they need you. My name is Tamara and in October I'll be running the Oxford half-marathon to raise £1000 for the Young Women's Music Project. The company I work for will match what I raise so I'm hoping to raise £2000 in total. This site is for donations to the Young Women's Music Project. YWMP is an educational charity that offers twice-monthly free workshops for women aged 14-21.
