Space for Youth Befriending provides vital support to children and young people struggling with isolation or multiple challenges, or living in kinship care away from their family home.

This Christmas, with the cost of living crisis heavily impacting the most vulnerable members of our community, we’d like to make sure children in Edinburgh have the gift of warmth all winter.

Our Youth Befriending project supports 55 young people aged five to 16, who—with your £10 donation—can receive a cosy blanket (and a sense of charitable kindness) to snuggle up with through the chilly months ahead. #BuyABlanket

About Youth Befriending: Young people, isolated or in need of support for a variety of reasons, are matched with a volunteer befriender who supports and encourages them to explore different activities, find new interests, build confidence, and improve social skills.

Befriending can make a real difference to a young person’s life and help them access opportunities they may not otherwise have.
