This summer, on the 11th of July, a group of 20 military sponsored students, myself included, will be traveling to Kenya for 3 weeks on a charity expedition. The first 2 weeks will be spent working on a volunteering project in Nakuru. The aim of the project is to construct a sheltered sport's area for a local disabled volleyball team, along with building an ablutions block and classroom. Before we leave, were all aiming to fundraise a total of 250 each. The money raised will be going directly to the Nakuru Children's Project. We are supporting Nakuru Children's Project because they are dedicated to relieving poverty and improving education for children in Nakuru, Kenya. They believe that through education, children can build better futures for themselves and their families. They work in close partnership with a local primary school, where we give free school lunches to the poorest children, build classrooms, and sponsor children to attend secondary school.
