Jo and Trevor McCulloch is raising £200 for UK Sepsis Trust
About
Trevor and Jo are going to dig deep and run a half marathon in the Great West run on the 19th October for the Sepsistrust. The Sepsistrust are continually trying to raise awareness of Sepsis amongst the public and health care professionals. Sepsis claims 37,000 lives each year and is a life threatening condition that arises when the body's response to an infection injures it's own tissues and organs. Sepsis can present itself just like flu, Gastroenteritis, or a chest infection. It is strongly advised to seek urgent medical attention if any of the following symptoms are present:- Slurred speech Extreme shivering or muscle pain Passing no urine (in a day) Severe breathlessness "I feel like I might die" Skin mottled or discoloured The Sepsistrust is a charity formed by amazing people who dedicate their own time to help save peoples lives. Please delve in to those pockets and donate however much you can as every penny will help make a difference. Thank you To find out more about Sepsis and it's symptoms please visit www.sepsistrust.org
