I wanted to run the Great North Run for a number of reasons - the challenge, to do some good, but most of all for MUM. I wanted something positive to come from the utter sadness that Neveen and I felt, so I joined the beginners running club at Gibside with the main aim of raising money for charity and the rest they say is history....
Although Mum wasn't an in-patient at Willowburn, she received a lot of support from the staff and they are the reason I chose to support this local charity. (For 5 million reasons why you should support this hospice or to find out more about the work they do, please follow this link - http://www.willow-burn.co.uk/fundraising)
It was a tough challenge, especially for me and my little spindly legs, so if you would like to give to this fantastic cause, please sponsor me below....
Thank you very much and please give generously. :)
