I am going to attempt to complete the Great North Run this September and hopefully raise loadsa dosh for Save the Children along the way.
Save the Children is a massively important charity, in 2013 alone they helped 15.4 million children around the world to have a brighter, safer future.
Here in the UK, they focus on helping children born into poverty, ensuring every child has access to basic necessities to grow up happy and healthy, things such as a bed and proper meals that we take for granted. They are working to ensure all children are provided with a decent education regardless of the situation they are born into.
Further afield, Save the Children use their emergency fund to help children and their families in natural disasters and conflict zones such as the current fighting in Gaza. Here, your donations are used to provide aid and emotional support to as many children and families as possible. They also work in over 120 countries striving towards every child having access to education, health care and protection from violence, exploitation and neglect.
Im not convinced that running over THIRTEEN MILES is a very good idea. Ive never done anything like this before and if it isnt raining on the big day Im pretty sure it's going to end me buuuuut Im going to give it a try anyway, so I would be super grateful for any pennies you can spare at all.
Thanks!!!!!!!!!
