On 7th April, Will is running the Sheffield Half Marathon to help raise money to support people with ME/CFS, fibromyalgia and/or long COVID. Your donation will go to Sheffield ME and Fibromyalgia Group, an established small registered charity that supports people in South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire who have ME/CFS, fibromyalgia and/or long COVID. Will says, "I love running, it keeps me fit and makes me feel good. I know of people who would also love running and being outdoors but because they have ME or long Covid they are so limited in being able to do anything outdoors, so I'm running for the Sheffield ME and Fibromyalgia Group.' People living with these illnesses experience a range of symptoms, including extreme fatigue, pain and cognitive difficulties, which can have a significant effect on their ability to manage their day-to-day lives. We support people by providing welfare benefits and social care advice, social and wellbeing activities, telephone befriending and talks from experts. Funds raised by Will will go towards supporting our 600+ members across the region who are living with these devastating conditions.
