The Edale Mountain Rescue bravely head out in all weather conditions to help those lost or injured on the hills. They do this in their spare time, they do not take a wage for the service they provide sometimes at great personal risk to themselves, the true definition of heroes.
Anyone who has used the Peak District has probably seen these guys in action or benefited from their services. It is time for us to return the favour.
The Welsh 3000's is one of the toughest challenge walks in the UK. It involves climbing all 15 mountains over 3000 feet in Wales in a single day. It includes iconic mountains such as Snowdon, Crib Goch, Tryfan and the Glyders. It truly is a marathon route at almost 30 miles long and ascending a total of over 13,000 feet.
