In 3 weekends time i will be running the London Marathon! My first (and hopefully the only one I do). I got into this predicament thanks to my best friend, Em, who suggested we sign up & by ,amazingly, then getting in via the ballot...& 6 months later here we are. I am going to run on behalf of a wonderful cause - Josie’s Dragonfly Trust. Its a small charity set up by the parents of a brave 16 year old who sadly lost her life to cancer. This charity was also supported by Jo McArthur, a mum & teacher at our school who sadly too lost her battle 15 months ago. (Jo was a teacher of Josie's). When I asked Rox & Zach who I should run for they said “the charity that Sophie & Kiera’s mummy, Jo, supported”. Josie’s Dragonfly Trust makes a very real and positive difference to the lives of young cancer patients with limited time. It's about creating memories & making the most of the time they have left. The legacy that both these girls left is so inspiring & the way their families have responded is equally as admirable. Please donate as little or as much as you can to support this charity... & support me on my final long runs and on the day itself.
