About 9yrs ago my husband was diagnosed as having a genetic form of Ataxia (SCA6). This has had a devastating effect on his life and he is now no longer able to work or play his violin and guitars. At the end of July I am attempting to cycle from Hyde Park in Leeds to Hyde Park in London with my son, Daniel, and some of his friends. This is not only to raise money for Ataxia UK but also to raise awareness of this horrendous condition. Tim is unable to join us on a bike, Ataxia has taken away his ability to balance on two wheels, but he will be with us all the way with the team in the support vehicle.
